GOD HIMSELF WILL EXALT YOU AND MAKE YOU GREAT
“I will begin to exalt you.” — Joshua 3:7
God exalts His children who live faithfully at the right time. The Word instructs us to humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that He may lift us up in due time. (1 Peter 5:6)
Joshua, the son of Nun, lived as a servant to God’s man Moses — as a helper, a warrior, and a faithful person. Even Moses did not know that Joshua would become the leader after him. But God revealed that His Spirit was upon Joshua.( Num 27:18)
God began to make Joshua great as a leader.
If a person must become great, it will only happen through God. We see similar experiences in the lives of Joseph and David. Eliezer spoke about Abraham saying, “Because the Lord has blessed my master, he has become a great man.”(Gen 24:35)
So dear ones — we cannot make ourselves great.
Let us live faithfully for God with a sincere heart, so God may do it for us.
Your God will lift you up at the appointed time.
May the Lord show His grace toward you. Amen.
